Shipping Company Groningen, SCG, is a Dutch company and was founded by a merger of three shipping companies; Navigia Shipmanagement, Feederlines and Thorco Holland.

Navigia started its activities in 1996, as a German Shipping company Reederei Schöning. Since 2012 the company is owned and led by Jan van Breden and Eric Bos.

Feederlines was founded in the year 1995 as a subsidiary of the German Hartmann Group. Jan van der Laan took over the company in 2016.

Otto Torenbosch manages the Dutch section of Thorco Projects. Thorco Projects is a strategic Partnership between Thorco and United Heavy Lift, specializes in project cargo and is part of the Thornico Group.

Besides the merger of the three companies, with a total of 57 vessels in management, SCG has six vessels in management owned by the Norwegian shipping company Peak Group.

Shipping Company Groningen consists of a team of 60 enthusiastic and qualified employees, with devotion and commitment our team works towards the same goal every day; taking care of the vessels in our management!

With the establishment of Shipping Company Groningen , Jan van Breden, Jan van der Laan, Eric Bos and Otto Torenbosch have created the right setup to attack new challenges in the market for the upcoming period!
